Aries New Moon - holistic vision brings clarity

Thursday, March 30, 2006
Aries Lunation
New Phase
Aries Sun
Aries Moon

Aries New Moon
This is the New Moon for setting your personal intention for the next twelve months (Solar cycle) as well as for the next 29.6 days (Lunation cycle). The seeds planted now are even more significant since this Aries new moon was also a solar eclipse.

The focus of the Aries lunation cycle is on the individual. There is a desire for change and progress, along with the ability to see in new ways. The qualities of this monthly cycle support personal insights and self-discovery as well as new beginnings and directions in the material world.

Take advantage of this annual opportunity to get in touch with your true identity.

The Aries lunation cycle correlates to Clarity on the Medicine Wheel = free from qualification or limitation. Clarity comes with/from purity of vision.

Activities:
Write an affirmation for the cycle. Set your vision for the year. Choose a new direction. Create a new look. Renew your sense of purpose. Work with imagery, make a treasure map, color a meditation mandala or draw your own, keep a visual journal.

Exercises:
Visualize yourself passionately involved with life. What are the images that come to mind?

Have a snapshot taken of yourself while imagining feelings of success. Place it in the middle of your treasure map or mandala.

From a tarot deck, pull out The Emperor card, signifying Aries, and The Tower card, signifying Mars. Focus on these cards, opening yourself willingly to their gifts and imagine them integrating with your conscious being.

Become extremely conscious of the appearance of everything around you and take note of your emotional responses. Note which colors attract or repel you. Note shapes that appeal to you. Note anything and everything that makes your passions flow.

"If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change."
--Buddha

My personal affirmation for this cycle is recorded at Ixsandra's Journal.

Letting Go

Monday, March 27, 2006
Pisces Lunation
Balsamic Phase
Aries Sun
Pisces Moon

Time to release fears and illusions. Let go of all that is past in preparation for being reborn.

Meditation:
Sit with your feet flat on the floor, your back straight, but not stiff, shoulders relaxed, release any thing you may be holding in your hands or in your head, breathe...

Inhale Oneness
Exhale Light
Inhale Love
Exhale Trust
Inhale Stillness
Exhale Goodness
Inhale Harmlessness
Exhale Compassion
(Repeat 8 times)

Dear Great Spirit,
Thank You for Your Light, which helps me stay upon the path in times of darkness. Thank You for reminding me that my thoughts form my reality. Thank you for teaching me to make use of solitude, to question my beliefs, and to become conscious of the interconnectedness of all life.
Ah Ho!

Down to the Wire

Friday, March 24, 2006
Pisces Lunation
Last Quarter Phase
Aries Sun
Aquarius Moon

Keywords for the Last Quarter phase are: realignment, revision, integration, cleansing. It is the time in a cycle to take closing action, to follow-up and complete the activities begun at the New phase.

It is challenging to act with structure and responsibility (Last Quarter requirements) when working with the ethereal qualities of a Pisces Lunation, especially during this particular cycle, which demands that we stay on course despite a sense of confusion.

How does one combine faith and imagination into something tangible and useful? One might ask the question of
Stacey Robyn, who's "Go Gratitude" project represents one possibility.

My imagination has been working overtime. It told me that I had posted the entry for Disseminating when, in reality, I hadn't. So, here it is somewhat belated:

Pisces Lunation
Disseminating Phase
Pisces Sun
Scorpio Moon

Keywords for the Disseminating phase are: demonstration, distribution, sharing and introspection. Clarity is gained by sharing what's been learned from personal experience.

A sterling example of this has been set by Paulo Coelho, an internationally renowned Brazilian writer, who has turned his experiences into novels that are meditations on faith and spirituality.

Make the Most of Every Experience

Friday, March 17, 2006
Pisces Lunation
Full Phase
Pisces Sun
Scorpio Moon

Keywords for the Full phase are: fulfillment, illumination, realization, experience.

It is the time in a cycle when there is a clear view of where our new phase visions have taken us. By sharing our observations of the cycle thus far, we will further refine our purpose, evaluate our progress and make any adjustments deemed necessary to assist the process of manifesting the cycle's intentions.

My previous entry mentioned that I'd be away at a retreat during the Gibbous phase. It turned out to be an adventure. I've shared my experience and concurrent observations in Ixsandra's Journal.

Disappearing Act

Tuesday, March 7, 2006

Pisces Lunation
First Quarter Phase
Pisces Sun
Cancer Moon

First Quarter
Keywords for the First Quarter phase are: action, expression, growth, breaking away. It is the time in a cycle to take the initial action necessary to achieve your goal by expressing your needs and desires. FEEL & MOVE. Make phone calls. Write letters. Dance. Act now.

In line with the Pisces energy, I'm taking a week-long retreat. The Gibbous entry will thus be delayed.

"V" is for Victory and Variety

Monday, March 6, 2006
Pisces Lunation
Crescent Phase
Pisces Sun
Gemini Moon

Although the Moon is now in Gemini and the phase is coming to an end, when it began 3 days ago the Moon was in Aries. Struggles associated with the Crescent phase in Aries relate to discovering one's individual identity within the Picean undifferentiated whole. The need for release and surrender during the Pisces lunation cycle can be frustrated by selfish desires and an urgency to begin anew. The issues are about identifying the resources we have and those we need to advance our goals for the cycle. What have you learned during this period about how you start things? When and how do you exercise your initiative? List the traits of effective leadership. Which of these traits do you have to draw upon?

I have opened two additional blogs, to help keep me organized. I posted a Mandala during the Pisces New Moon at Cre 8 Joy and a Crescent phase entry in Ixsandra's Journal that aptly describes the energy of the Pisces lunation conjunct Uranus in a local story of flash flooding.
